Hi Valdas,

Thanks for providing the test case. I will transfer it to our development team to analyze for a solution.

In the meantime, we suggest that you work around it by using TortoiseGit for the initial upload/download. And then you should be able to push/pull later changes fine directly from PowerBuilder IDE as the incremental changes are normally very small.

Regards,

Tom Jiang

Hi Valdas,

Do you have the same issue with smaller project?

There is an known issue with downloading and uploading large repository, which is related to the underlying Git library used by PowerBuilder IDE. At this momnet we don't have a good solution.

If that is the issue in your case, we suggest that you work around it by using TortoiseGit for the initial upload/download. And then you should be able to push/pull later changes fine directly from PowerBuilder IDE as the incremental changes are normally very small.

Regards,

Tom Jiang

pbscc.log (6KB)

Git version is 2.32.0, as mentioned earlier it works from command line, and from Tortoise Git.

SCC log contains exact same text as the IDE output window.

Hi Valdas;

Please make sure that your GIT Client Software is current. If not, please update the Git client & try again.

Also, in the WorkSpace properties - Source Control - please make sure that SCC "logging" is ON. If this problem persists, please attach the SCC log to this ticket.

Regards ... Chris

I have a big project consisting of 38 PBL files, taking about 175 MB of space. I am trying to upload them to Git. I right clicked my workplace and chose Upload PBL, selecteted all PBLs and clicked OK. Operation completed successfully. I right click it again, choose Git Push, and after about 5 minutes of waiting I get this error:

 ---------- Source Control
Git push
Starting to push workspace...
Git client is pushing workspace. Please wait...
Pushing current objects: 0, total objects: 40.
Git detail error info: Failed to write chunk header: The server returned an invalid or unrecognized response
Git client error code: Generic error.
Failed to push workspace.
Git push completed.
 ---------- Done Source Control

If I execute git push origin master from console it takes about 1 min. to successfully push.
