Hi Stefan,

OK. We’ll be looking forward to hearing good news from you!

good to know, that the picture control still works.
We will try to change our program, so that we use picture controls instead.
I must have done something wrong, when i tried it, as i wrote the sample application.

picture control

Hi Stefan,

We can reproduce this issue and we’ve submitted the issue to our development team for further analysis for a solution.
BTW, PB 12.6 also has the same behavior

Meanwhile, I tested using the picture control in the datawindow. It animated the gif image successfully and the image switched as I clicked the button. I uploaded the case I modified. Please download and verify it on your side.

Hi Stefan;

  I was able to recreate your issue on my test machine as well. I also changed your test case to add an SQL Computed column and then set the "Display As Picture" property on. This type of image display also fowls up after the GIF file is assigned. I have attached my test case FYR.

  I will now transfer this ticket over to the main Support / Engineering team for their review & feedback.

Regards ... Chris

Modify-Compute.zip (11KB)

Once setting an animated gif on a computed field with the modify statement, we can‘t set any other picture to that computed field.

*Reproduce Steps:
See attached sample application. each button sets a different picture. After you set the animated gif picture, no other picture is being set, if you push the buttons.

A workaround with the datawindow picture control does not work for us, because the picture control does not animate the gif image.
