Hi Mohan,

Please note currently PB itself doesn't support pushing to other branches other than the master branch. So even if you have switched your HEAD to the development branch using TortoiseGit, PB still pushes the commits you made on your master branch to the remote master branch when you click the Push menu item. (The 4000+ files you saw should be the initial push of your master branch, which pushes everything to the remote server for the first time)

This normally wouldn't bring you any side effect; you just won't see your development branch commits get pushed to the remote repository.

To work around this issue, you can do the push using TortoiseGit after you committed the changes in PB, which should push your commits based on where your HEAD currently sits.

NOTE: Just remember to always do a Refresh in PB after you used a third party tool to pull, switch or do any other things that may have updated the source code in the working directory so they will be updated into PB IDE (PBLs).

Tom Jiang

I have changed one file but it is pushing all the files, but when I checked the server no changes were reflected.
In the screen shot you see 4k files were pushed to server but I have changed only one file and change is also not reflected on server

Hi Mohan,

Please make sure that your source code is not read-only and that you have set the proper permissions for this. Do let us know if this fixed your error.
